About Schiphol Passport Control
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) processes over 70 million passengers annually and is a key hub for UK and North American travellers entering the Schengen Area. EES biometric checks apply to all third-country nationals, including all UK passport holders since Brexit. Schiphol completed extensive EES kiosk installation during the system's pilot phase, making it one of the best-prepared airports in Europe. The dedicated non-Schengen arrivals hall is clearly signed; follow "Non-EU Passports" to reach the EES kiosks.
